WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Today and tomorrow you can catch “You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown” on stage at Thalian Hall, but there’s a twist. Teens are running the show both in front of and behind the curtain!
Performance Club is Wilmington’s only studio theatre company for young actors. The company is kicking off the summer season with this classic Peanuts musical.
Emilia Torello and Wilker Ballantine stopped by Good Morning Carolina to share their experience as the director and choreographer of the show. Both said they are strict when it comes to making sure the show runs smoothly; however they are friends with a lot of the cast, which they enjoy.
Torello and Ballantine said it was LJ Woodard, director of Performance Club, who gave them a shot as teens to put on a show from start to finish.
This weekend’s production of “You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown” has performances at 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday. The show is approximately one hour and the whole family is welcome. Tickets are $15 and are available by clicking here or going to Thalian Hall.
