MOREHEAD CITY, NC (WCTI) — A two-alarm morning fire at a Morehead City apartment complex sent one person to the hospital and saw neighbors rescue three people from a second-floor balcony before fire officials arrived on scene.

Morehead City Fire Chief Jaime Fulk said firefighters arrived around 6:25 Wednesday morning to the apartment complex in the 3800 block of Guardian Avenue. Fulk said neighbors rescued three residents from a second floor balcony above where the fire started below them.
