Four hospitalized after boat crash in Southport

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The US Coast Guard says four people were taken to the hospital following a boat crash in Southport Thursday evening.

Coast Guard responded shortly after 7 p.m.

Officials say the boat crashed into multiple docks around 7 p.m. this evening. A docked boat was destroyed as well.

Several agencies responded to the accident.

Police on the scene said one person had critical injuries. No words yet on the extent of the other injuries.
