$80M mega yacht ‘Q’ docks in downtown Wilmington
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY-TV) — A massive yacht docked in downtown Wilmington is drawing attention from residents and visitors along the waterfront.
The mega yacht, named “Q,” measures about 238 feet and is currently moored along the downtown riverfront.
According to publicly available information, the vessel is a renovated icebreaker that was built in the Netherlands and is owned by Greensboro real estate billionaire Roy E. Carroll.
The yacht is estimated to be worth around $80 million and reportedly costs roughly $8 million annually to operate.
The vessel is also available for private charter, with weekly rental rates reportedly around $700,000.
