Ferry operating on abbreviated schedule

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — The N.C. Department of Transportation’s Ferry Division will be running an abbreviated schedule at its Southport-Fort Fisher route on Monday, due to a problem with the Motor Vessel Fort Fisher.

The normal schedule will resume once the vessel has been fixed and cleared to operate.

The schedule for Monday is as follows:

Departing Southport at 5:30 a.m., 7, 8:30, 10, 11:30, 1 p.m., 2:30, 4 and 6:15

Departing Fort Fisher at 6:15 a.m., 7:45, 9:15, 10:45, 12:15 p.m., 1:45, 3:15, 4:45 and 7.
