Warrant: Woman spits, kicks deputy during DWI stop

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A woman is facing charges after investigators say she kicked and spit at a deputy who pulled her over on suspicion of driving while impaired.

Deputies say Candace Keith was pulled over on Highway 17 late last night after reports of a driver weaving and driving slowly in the area. They say she was pulled over near Leland.

Investigators say she spit and kicked a deputy in the leg during the traffic stop. She is facing charges including DWI, malicious conduct by a prisoner and assault on a government employee.
