FIRST ON 3: Arrest made in weekend hit-and-run


WILMINGTON,  NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police say an arrest has been made in a hit-and-run investigation from the weekend.

Police say it happened Sunday evening around 6:45 p.m. at the intersection of Wrightsville Ave. and Greenville Ave. The man pictured is accused of hitting a motorcyclist with his pickup truck and leaving the scene. Police say the man pulled out in front of the motorcyclist.  The victim was severely injured but should be OK, police said.

Cpl. Leslie Irving with the Wilmington Police Department says 26-year-old Jon Matt Booth was arrested and charged Tuesday.
