WPD: Man cut, not shot; no charges expected

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police say earlier reports of a man shot in the face were wrong. The man, in reality, was cut by glass.

Police say the incident happened shortly after 5 p.m. Wednesday in the 500 block of Barclay Hills Drive. The incident was initially reported as a shooting but the investigation showed the man was cut during a fight with another person.

Police say no charges will be filed, and it was a domestic incident.
