Surveillance video captures moment woman, 74, hit by truck

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Newly-released surveillance video outside of a grocery store show the dramatic moments a truck hits a woman walking in the parking lot. The driver of that truck has yet to be identified.

It happened at the Food Lion on Independence Boulevard in late March; police say the woman suffered non life-threatening injuries.

A family member of the victim tells WWAY she is still recovering from injuries sustained in the hit-and-run, including a head and wrist injury.
