Whiteville’s Shaun Kirk is heading to NC State to play basketball

WHITEVILLE, NC (WWAY) — Whiteville basketball standout Shaun Kirk has been on WWAY’s radar for quite some time. He disappeared off our radar when he transferred to Flora MacDonald Academy  in 2013, but Kirk re-emerged in 2014 when he transferred back to Whiteville High in time for the Wolfpack’s 2014 state playoff basketball run. Kirk had a sensational senior season in 2014-15. UNCW’s Kevin Keatts watched Kirk in person on numerous occasions, but Kirk has decided to play in the ACC instead of the CAA. Shaun Kirk made his intentions known on Monday that he’s going to play for the NC State Wolfpack.
