Cab crashes into building

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Investigators with the Wilmington Police are trying to figure out what caused a taxi cab to crash into a side of a building overnight.

Investigators say police, firefighters and EMS crews responded to the scene near Wooster and 18th streets just after 3 a.m. That’s where dispatchers say they got the initial call for an accident near the intersection.

The cab, marked with Title Taxi on the side, was up against an Image Displays building there. There’s no word on severity of injuries at this time, but police say they don’t believe anyone was transported to the hospital. No charges have been filed at this time.
