Man guilty in child porn investigation

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — District Attorney Ben David said a man was convicted today in a child porn trial.

Robert Stanley Brown Jr. was convicted on 16 counts of charges of sexual exploitation of a minor. David said sentencing will be tomorrow afternoon.

Brown was charged in June of 2013 and indicted by a grand jury in October of 2014. The evidence at trial showed that from 2009 until 2011 the defendant downloaded images of minors engaged in sexual activity using a peer to peer network.
