Trailer, tools stolen from Southport business

SOUTHPORT, NC (WWAY) — Brunswick County Sheriff’s detectives are asking for help as they investigate the theft of several items overnight from a Southport business.

Deputies were called to Sykes Welding at 8168 River Road at about 6:15 a.m. for a report of a stolen trailer. The trailer is homemade, 4’x8′, red with black diamond plate flooring. The trailer contained a blue Miller Trail Blazer welding machine and a stainless steel diamond plate toolbox.

Investigators believe the theft happened some time between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m.
