Brunswick County man wanted for heroin, MDMA charges
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office Drug Enforcement Unit is searching for a Shallotte man wanted on multiple drug charges.
Joe Junior Bell, 34, of Hale Swamp Road, is charged with trafficking heroin,trafficking MDMA, possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver heroin, possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver MDMA, maintaining a dwelling house used for keeping and selling heroin and MDMA and possession of drug paraphernalia. MDMA is also known as Ecstasy or Molly.
Investigators say a search of Bell’s home led to them seizing more than 1,000 bags of heroin, 161 grams of MDMA and more than $13,000 in cash.
Records show Bell’s criminal history dates back to 2001, with convictions for drug possession and conspiracy to commit armed robbery. His last conviction was in 2006. He’s served a total of 2.5 years in prison for his crimes.
