Topsail Pirates come up short in 3-A championship eastern title game in softball

HAMPSTEAD, NC (WWAY) — Northern Guilford High School edged Topsail High 3-2 on Wednesday night in game 2 of  their best of 3 eastern championship series for 3-A  softball.  Northern the opener of the series on Tuesday 11-2, thus, the season is now over for Topsail as the Nighthawks move onto the 3-A state finals next week.
