Another Brunswick Co. woman wins lottery

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A Supply woman is another lottery winner in Brunswick County.

A lottery spokesman said Betty Martin won $192,955 in a Carolina Cash 5 jackpot from the June 6 drawing. Martin said she plans to pay off her home, cars and credit cards.

“It was around one in the morning when I saw the numbers on the screen,” Martin said. “After that I kept checking and checking my ticket. I couldn’t sleep at all the rest of the night. I was just wide awake. I still am, really. It’s just so exciting and I’m very thankful.”

Martin bought the ticket at Food Lion on Sabbath Home Road Southwest in Holden Beach.

After taxes, Martin took home a check for $133,622.
