Four people indicted in Onslow County killing cases

JACKSONVILLE, NC (AP) — Four people have been indicted in separate cases in Onslow County for first-degree murder.

Multiple news sources report a grand jury indicted the four people Tuesday and all are due in court June 29.

Thirty-three-year-old Christopher Michael Skaggs of Richlands is accused of shooting his wife, Jordan, on July 13, 2014.

Twenty-seven-year-old Corey Alexander Thomas of Havelock is accused of shooting his wife, Cheyenne, on July 23, 2014.

Fifty-eight-year-old Sherry Godwin Poindexter of Holly Ridge is accused of shooting her husband, Barry, on Dec. 26, 2014.

Thirty-seven-year-old Anthony Wayne Young of Richlands is accused of using a steak knife to slit his baby’s throat on May 3.

Each person has a lawyer.
