Rain storm puts damper on Wilmington’s chance to pick up a win

RICHMOND, VA (WWAY) — The Wilmington Hammerheads didn’t need for the lights to go out on Saturday in Richmond. They didn’t need a rain storm. They didn’t need another tie. They got all three.

The Richmond Kickers and Wilmington played a scoreless first half of soccer on Saturday. A rain storm then hit Richmond. Power went out at the stadium. After a lengthy delayed the game was declared a 0-0 tie. It’s the Hammerheads 8th tie of the season. They are now 1-8-4 on the season.
