Accident sends motorcyclist to the hospital

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — One man was taken to the hospital this morning after an accident involving a motorcycle and a SUV.

The driver of the motorcycle was injured.  It blocked off traffic around 5th and Wooster in Wilmington for a short time this morning.

Police say it appears someone ran a red light and that charges are pending. No word on the condition of the motorcycle driver.
