Part of Causeway Project almost complete

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — There will soon be three westbound lanes on the causeway heading out of New Hanover County into Brunswick County.

DOT Engineer Wanda James says the third lane of US 17/74/76 after the US 421 split into Brunswick County at the Battleship should be ready Friday or Monday. Right now, crews have shifted traffic left into the new lane and closed the far right lane to repave it.

The entire Causeway Project has a completion date for November 2016.
