7th Annual Coastal Christian Jamboree is a summer tune-up
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) – We stopped by Coastal Christian High School on Monday in order to check out summer basketball action.

WILMINGTON, NC (COASTAL CHRISTIAN RELEASE) — We will be hosting a player development camp during the day. Coach Mike Hollis that started Networks Basketball in Raleigh will be running the player development camp for me. Coach has worked with beginners to Professionals (and everything in between) for the last 27 years. A few players he has worked with are Todd Henley (UNCW), Daniel Mercer (UNCW), Tanner Milson (UNCW), Shavlik Randolph (DUKE) and is currently working with Deon Thompson and Tyler Hansborough. He has helped me with player development for the last 7 years. We will be doing the following:
Monday through Thursday:
6:30am to 8:00am – College players can come workout – (started out as Coastal players and we just invited others we know would benefit.) Nick Chase (CCHS), Wesley Age (CCHS), Shaun Robinson (New Hanover), Dylan Smith (CCHS), Tyler Thayer (Hoggard), Gray Cheers (W. Brunswick). No cost to these guys. We just do it to help them.
8:00am to 2:30 – High School camp – we have players from all over that come. Rising 8th grade to rising 12th. Cost is $150 and includes lunch each day and camp shirt. Pure Player development. They will work pure fundamentals and have a ball in their hands all day. Not your normal “let kids run full court all day and simply occupy their time”.
3:00pm to 6:00pm – Coastal Young Guns – Rising 2nd grade to rising 7th grade – Pure fundamentals camp . Cost is $100 and includes camp tee shirt and instruction. Then games are at night using Coastal gym and Myrtle Grove Christian Gym right behind us. Admission is $2 per person (kids 12 and under, and coaches family are free). Teams playing are Coastal, Ashley, N. Brunswick, S. Brunswick, Topsail, Trask, WCA, and Cape Fear.
