Brunswick Co. man facing rape charges

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A man is in jail under a $1 million bond on sex offense charges.

Jail records show Brandon Lamar Stevenson, 26, was booked Sunday evening on a charge of second degree rape. According to the arrest warrant, Stevenson is also facing a second degree sexual offense charge. The date of offense was also listed Sunday.

Deputies said the crime was not a random act.
