Soldier identified in Freeman Park death

CAROLINA BEACH, NC (WWAY) — The town manager of Carolina Beach has released more details about the death of a woman in Freeman Park over the weekend.

Michael Cramer identified the woman as Tania Nicole Dunbar, 40. He said she was in the Army stationed at Fort Bragg and visiting the area over the weekend.

Dunbar’s body was found next to her truck Sunday. Cramer said investigators believe she hit her head on a door handle of her truck and died Saturday evening.
