New option for indoor hoops in New Hanover County

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Wilmington Basketball Center has been open for just over a month. The basketball center is home to a few travel basketball teams. It’s also the new home of Halo Hoops. George Greene is the general manager. “Everybody loves it here and it seems like what people like the most is the air conditioning,” Greene said on Tuesday. “The second thing is definitely the location. There is a need for basketball in Wilmington, but specifically in this area of Ogden, Topsail-Pender. You can never have too many basketball courts in the Wilmington area and that’s the reason the owner, Brett Tanner, decided to build this place.”

The Wilmington Basketball Center is located in Ogden, just across from the Wilmington Ice House. The facility features two full-size basketball courts.
