SBI agents arrest Shallotte pharmacy tech for drug trafficking


BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — A Brunswick County pharmacy tech faces charges for drug trafficking after he was arrested by State Bureau of Investigation agents, according to a release.

The SBI arrested Dustin Lee Holloman, 31, of Supply, who was a pharmacy technician at the Shallotte Walgreens.

Holloman is charged with three felony counts of embezzlement of a controlled substance from a drug enforcement agent, one felony count of trafficking in opiates and misdemeanor possession of Schedule II and Schedule IV.

The North Carolina Board of Pharmacy asked the SBI to investigate the suspected violations. Holloman was placed under a $100,000 secured bond.
