Car Show raises money for rescued animals at Poplar Grove

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — The Greater Porters Neck Area Foundation and the Poplar Grove Animal Sanctuary teamed up for a car show today at the Porters Neck Country Club.

All money raised goes towards the sanctuary and keeping the animals in their care happy and healthy. A number of vehicles were on display, everything from pick-up truck to convertibles for people to check out.

Folks could also see some of the animals from the sanctuary. Kids were able to pet and feed young pigs and goats, and the Cape Fear Raptor Center had several birds out as well.

Organizers said events like this are important to help get the word out about Poplar Grove and all the good they are doing for animals in need throughout the area.
