WPD investigates afternoon shooting

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police say a man was shot in the foot in the 900 block of Emory Street. The shooting happened just after 3 p.m.

Capt. J.D. Varrone says the victim was taken to New Hanover Regional Medical Center with non-threatening injuries.

Investigators say the do not have any information on a suspect at this time.
