WPD investigating Hardee’s armed robbery


WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Investigators with the Wilmington Police Department are looking for two men accused in an armed robbery at a fast food restaurant.

Police said it happened at the Hardee’s in the 1900-block of S. 17th last night around 9:30 p.m. They said two men with shirts wrapped around their faces robbed the business and two employees of cash and cell phones. Police said one suspect held an employee at knife-point while the other suspect with a gun took the cash. The robbers then ran from the scene.
