Ferry changes to fall schedule soon

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — With tourist season behind us and fall approaching, North Carolina’s ferry system will soon shift to its off-season schedules.

The switches being happening up and down the coast starting next week, but the summer schedule will last a little longer in our area.

Starting September 28 the Southport-Fort Fisher route goes to its off-season schedule. That means going from 16 weekday round trips to 14 and from 15 to 13 daily departures from both sides on weekends.
