Arrest made in Hardee’s armed robbery

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Police say thanks to a tip from a citizen, they’ve made an arrest in a Wilmington armed robbery.

Police said Orlando Rashea Johnson, 28, was arrested yesterday afternoon at the Independence Mall in connection with the Hardee’s armed robbery on S. 17th Street from earlier this week. Police said someone recognized a picture posted by police and the media of the suspect and called authorities.

Johnson is facing charges including robbery with a dangerous weapon. He’s in jail under a more than $250,000 bond.

Two suspects were involved in that particular incident. Police are still looking for the second suspect.
