Man charged after business break-in attempt

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Investigators with the Wilmington Police Department said a man is in custody for trying to break into a business.
Police said around 7 a.m. they got a call at a business in the 4100-block of Princess Place Drive. They said the business owner was sleeping in his store due to the storm when he heard someone trying to break-in. When police arrived, they said they saw Paul Frederick McNally, 30, trying to pry in the back door. Police said after a short chase he was caught.
McNally is facing charges including attempted breaking and entering. He’s in jail under a $71,000 bond.
