WPD: Mom had 15-year-old son sell heroin

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police say they’ve made another heroin bust, this time arresting a woman they say had her teenaged son sell the drug.

Officers executed a search warrant at 308 North 5th Ave. Tuesday. They arrested Anglena Aqunette Boynton, 36, who lives at the home, after they say they found 31 bags of heroin.

Boynton faces several drug charges, including promoting drug sales by a minor. Police say that charge stems from Boynton allegedly using her 15-year-old son to make some of the heroin sales police were investigating.

Boynton is in jail under $100,000 bond.
