Road closing to thru traffic for 3 months

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A CFPUA spokesman said a road off of Carolina Beach Road will close to thru traffic for a few months due to sewer system repairs.

Starting the week of October 19, Antoinette Drive at Normandy Drive and at the intersection of Carolina Beach Road will close. Over the next three months, the closure will move east on Antoinette Drive.

People who use that road to get to their homes will still be able to do so, but other drivers should use Silver Lake Road.

The affected streets are as follows:

Normandy Drive
Richelieu Road
Rheims Way
Rhine Court
Manet Road
Voltaire Place
Hugo Court
Gerome Place
Marquette Drive
Antoinette Drive
Sardou Road
Lorraine Circle

The CFPUA spokesman said first responders will also be unaffected by the closure, and crews are working with the school system to check on impacts with school buses.
