NHCS installs reverse osmosis water coolers

New Hanover County Schools has installed bottle-less water coolers at schools currently serviced by the Cape Fear Public Utility Authority (CFPUA) Sweeney Water Treatment Plant. 

Voluntary water restrictions lifted for Monterey Heights system

With summer ending Monday, CFPUA is lifting a voluntary water conservation advisory for customers served by the Monterey Heights Water System.

Boil water advisory issued for parts of downtown Wilmington

CFPUA has issued a precautionary boil water advisory for customers at 201 and 205 North Front St. and 106 North Water St. as crews make emergency repairs to a leaking water main.

CFPUA to test new program that keeps some water access for unpaid accounts

The Cape Fear Public Utility Authority will soon have a new program for customers who may find themselves falling behind on payments. Instead of completely cutting off water services, CFPUA would install a device that provides a restricted flow of water for delinquent accounts.
