Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue named visitors attraction of the year

SURF CITY, NC (WWAY) — The Karen Beasley Sea Turtle Rescue and Rehabilitation Center is being recognized.

The North Carolina Travel Industry Association is naming the hospital the NC Visitor Attraction of the Year. Organizers will award Founder Jean Beasley next Wednesday.

The Battleship North Carolina won this award in 2011, and last year Wet’n Wild Emerald Pointe was the winner.
