Police: Drunk driver crashes into Wilmington business

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Police said a man faces DWI charges after driving into a Valvoline.

Wilmington Police said they responded to the Food Lion on 17th Street in reference to a reckless driver. Police said Siu Lun Wu, 72, then drove the vehicle into the window of the Valvoline in the 4400-block of S. 17th Street just before 7:30 p.m.

Wu is facing DWI charges. Police said an open container was found in the car, and Wu was trying to restart the vehicle when officers arrived.
