Deputies investigating home robbery, searching for armed suspects

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — New Hanover County dispatchers say the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a robbery at a home on McQuillan Drive.

Lieutenant Jerry Brewer with the The New Hanover County Sheriffs Office says it happened at 330 McQuillan Dr. earlier this afternoon.

The victim, Alston Bennett, said two men knocked at the door. When he opened the door, Bennett said they entered caring knives. Bennett said the suspects were dressed in all black wearing bandannas and stole his cell phone and an undisclosed amount of cash.
