Shoppers search for savings on Thanksgiving
WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Some dedicated shoppers were out at Best Buy Thursday searching for some deals, some even camped out for days all in hopes of snagging some savings.
Shopping on Thanksgiving is serious business especially for John Teeter who camped out in front of Best Buy for days waiting for the store to open early for Black Friday.
“When I get into that store nothing is going to stop me,” said Teeter. “It’s the competition of it, it’s the thrill of it, it’s kind of not any particular item but kind of the thrill of it.”
The line went on and on, as it grew closer to opening hours.
“It’s worth the experience I’ve never done it before and we’ve gone all out with it,” said Teeter.
Teeter and his friend David Vreelend worked together to find savings.
“And we got to go through this whole process of buying all this stuff for really cheap,” said Vreelend. “I could say it was about the deals but it wasn’t just about that it was about just enjoying the experience.”
And while friends came together to seek out deals, it was a family affair for Justin Marchant, his brother and dad Joe.
“For this Black Friday I am buying this man a TV because he’s my Joe Pa and he deserves it,” said Marchant.
Best Buy will be open until 1 a-m Thursday and open again for Black Friday at 10 a.m.
