Laney edges West Brunswick in battle of the best area wrestling teams

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — West Brunswick pulled within two points of Laney at 21-19 midway through Wednesday’s wrestling match, but the Laney Buccaneers pulled away at the end to beat West Brunswick 39-22. It was the first league wrestling match of the season for both teams and they’re clearly considered the top two wrestling teams in the Mideastern Conference this season.
