Wrightsville Beach picks accessible playground design

WRIGHTSVILLE BEACH, NC (WWAY) — Last year, Wrightsville Beach received a $300,000 grant to build an accessible playground.

During a recent board of aldermen meeting, leaders chose a design including teeter-totters, domes, slides and a wheelchair-accessible swing.

The town says they plan to relocated some of the old equipment.

The playground is expected to be finished by mid-May.
