Council to fund part of Wave budget

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington City Council voted unanimously to fund part of the transit authority’s operating budget.

Council approved a resolution that will pay eight percent of Wave Transit’s fund balance over the next two fiscal years.

The county will also pitch in eight percent during that time.
