Front Street traffic lights to be permanently removed

For the past month and a half, you might have noticed a change on Front Street. Workers covered the traffic lights, and added temporary four-way stop signs.

This week, those traffic lights are going away for good.

City leaders found no problems with the lack of lights and say replacing the lights with stop signs is the first step in the North Front Street improvement project, designed to make the street more pedestrian friendly.
