Dozens of cold-stunned turtles return home

SURF CITY, NC (WWAY) —  Forty cold-stunned sea turtles are back at home.

A group of 20 volunteers with the Karen Beasley Sea Turtle and Rescue Rehabilitation took a five hour boat ride to the gulf stream Tuesday.

Volunteers used the charter boat named Vonda Kay captained by Dave Gardner to release the turtles into warmer water.
