Festival Latino returns to Ogden Park for 22nd year
WILMINGTON (WWAY) — A festival celebrating all things Latin was held at Ogden Park this weekend.
Hundreds of people came out to enjoy the 22nd annual Festival Latino.
Dancers performed traditional dances while dozens of vendors had items from their home countries for sale.
Zida Garzon was one such vendor, though this was the first time she had been a vendor at this festival.
She says it means a lot to her to share her home country of Ecuador and its culture with others.
“I’m 33 years in this country and I feel so proud to be here and bring my culture and my country to this festival,” Garzon said.
There were also activities for the kiddos like inflatables and games.
