Topsail Island sea turtle project seeking beach walkers

TOPSAIL ISLAND, NC (WWAY) —  The Topsail Island Sea Turtle Project is looking for dependable walkers to help locate sea turtle nests on Topsail Island.

The volunteers would be asked to walk a mile on the beach one or more mornings a week from May 1 to August 31.

There are two information meetings at the Surf City Welcome Center on April 6 from 1-4 p.m. and April 12 from 6-9 p.m.
