Teen Charged with shooting man in Brunswick County

SUPPLY, NC (WWAY)– Alexander Lamont Gassett is charged with shooting a man in the chest after breaking into his home.

The arrest warrant says around midnight Saturday night Gassett broke into a house on the 1800 block of Hillcrest Drive. There were two people in the home at the time.

After breaking and entering the house Gassett shot Bryan Tyrone Goodwin with a handgun.

The Brunswick County Sheriff’s office says this happened after a dispute between neighbors.

Gassett is charged on a felony assault with a deadly weapon with the intent to kill or inflicting serious injury.
