Wilmington Police investigating early morning shooting

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — Wilmington Police are investigating a shooting that happened early Tuesday morning.

Police responded to the 2100 block of Jefferson Street at 1:40 a.m.

When officers arrived, they found a man who had been shot multiple times.

EMS transported him to the hospital.

Police say this shooting is an isolated incident and is gang related. Charges are anticipated against a 16-year old male.
