EF-1 tornado confirmed in Ogden

WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — A storm survey team from the National Weather Service confirmed a tornado touched down this afternoon in Ogden.

The reports came in after 2 p.m. in an area off of Market Street and Middle Sound Loop Road. Several storm reports have come in, including downed trees and other damage. Heavy rain, small hail and gusty winds have also been reported in the area this afternoon.

The National Weather Service confirmed late this afternoon an EF-1 tornado with max winds at 90 miles per hour.
