WANTED: Man involved in 130+ mph chase

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — Brunswick County sheriff’s deputies are looking for a man who led them on a chase into Wilmington yesterday.

Warrants show Donald Ray-Edtuan Davis failed to stop during a traffic stop. They show a deputy tried to stop Davis near Village Road when he continued into Wilmington. Radio traffic said Davis was going about 130 miles per hour toward the Port City.

The radio traffic also said the officer lost sight of Davis around Mears St. and 9th St. around 1:49 p.m. The deputy said Davis went through an intersection and he had to make a hard stop to avoid a crash.

Warrants also show Davis’ vehicle had an expired registration and illegal dark tinting on windows.
