Threat, alarm force two morning evacuations at Brunswick Co. high school

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WWAY) — School leaders and law enforcement have had a busy morning at South Brunswick High School.

Earlier this morning, a bomb threat forced an evacuation of the students to its football field. Brunswick Middle was ordered to shelter in place during the time.

After the all-clear was given, a BCS spokeswoman said a student pulled the fire alarm, forcing yet another evacuation. The 16-year-old student was not identified, but the spokeswoman said the student is facing consequences from both the school and law enforcement.
